PRE - USE INFORMATION

• Marking recommendations and restrictions If the end user adds any lettering, trim, emblems, or nametags, etc. to the garment, they must meet the performance requirements of the standard. Failure to comply will invalidate the Company warranty.
• Warranty Company guarantees that all garments will be free of workmanship defects resulting from normal wear within one year of the purchase for garments laundered per our instructions. Apparel color shifting or fading is excluded. Shelby MCR Safety Uniform will determine whether a returned garment is to be repaired or replaced.

PREPARATION FOR USE

• Storage practices Do not store protective clothing in direct light. The strength of flame resistant fabrics can be degraded by exposure to light or fluorescent light and must be protected, either by storing in a shaded area or by covering with a dark material.

INSPECTION FREQ UENCY & RETIREMENT CRITERIA

We recommend that each company establish its own criteria for regular, routine inspection and subsequent repair or retirement of protective clothing. Visual inspection for worn areas, mechanical damage, improper alterations, improper fit, or contamination with flammable substances may be cause for removal from service, as determined by the end user.

DON/DOFF PROCEDURES

For effective protection, flame-resistant garments should be worn as the outer garment, with sleeves down and secured, shirts tucked into pants, and front closure fully secured.

PROPER USE

Refer to NFPA 2113 for proper use information. The user is responsible to determine that this garment is appropriate for the intended use and complies with all laws and regulatory standards. The user assumes all risks associated with the use of this product. Shelby MCR Safety shall not be liable for loss, injury, or death arising out of the use of this product.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Flammable contaminants will reduce the thermal protection properties of any flame-resistant garment. Properly caring for your FR clothing can help it continue to perform optimally and last longer.

To ensure you know how to correctly wear, wash and maintain your garments, it is important to carefully follow instructions provided on the manufacturer’s care label. However, there are some basic care requirements that are applicable to all FR workwear

• Wash garments prior to wearing and after each subsequent wearing
• Wash separately from standard clothing
• Avoid using chlorine bleach
• Ensure clothing is clean and in good repair before each wearing
• Thoroughly remove any oils and flammable contaminants from clothing
• Repair clothing using only FR fabric, thread and components; return garments to manufacturer for repair or use an authorized repair facility

RETIREMENT AND DISPOSAL

If the garment cannot be properly repaired or contaminants cannot be removed, the garment should be retired. The garment should be removed from service and retired after exposure to flame and heat.
